DIY: Recipe Card (last minute) Gift

Find everything you’ll need for a last minute gift RIGHT HERE on BRY DIY!!

Do you know someone who loves to cook or bake, who has recipes scattered everywhere, who brings goodies into work because they have made too much to eat on their own?  Well, why not give them the gift of new recipes and recipe cards to help them organize?  Everything, including the recipes, are conveniently located right here!

PRINT:  Print out 10 or so cards.  For further organization print out some of the winter cards and some of the fall cards.  This way you can organize the recipes by the season in which you tend to make them in the most.  (Maybe later you can give the, soon to come, Spring and Summer recipe cards as a birthday gift later in 2013)

WRITE:  Use the recipes right here on my blog and write them down on the cards.  You can also add some of your own recipes that you know this special someone might enjoy or leave some cards blank so they can fill them in with recipes they’ve been meaning to write down.

Recipes:

Leftover Cookies
Cream Cheese Cookies
Candied Almonds
Salted Carmel Brownies
Cinnamon Oatmeal Baked Apples

WRAP:  Tie a ribbon around the cards and call it done!

OR MAYBE THIS:  Include a wooden mixing spoon, spachala or mesuring spoons tied in with the ribbon.  You could even wrap them up in a recipe card box so the recipient of this thoughtful gift will have a place to store all of their recipe cards.

Personally, as a person who spends a lot of time in the kitchen, I’d love to receive a gift like this.  It’s thoughtful, personal, tailored to my needs, and super cute!

Merry Christmas and Christmas Eve!!  Whatever your beliefs, celebrate them proudly!
